Jorge Panana is responsible for the organization's administration and serves as its primary representative. Together with the Grants and Projects Director, he oversees the implementation of cultural, artistic, and educational projects, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and purpose.
As Administrative Executive DirectorJorge represents the organization to partners and the broader community, building and maintaining essential relationships. Additionally, he manages operational functions, supervises staff, and provides financial oversight to ensure financial sustainability and the proper allocation of resources.
Mara Uriol Garate
Grants and Projects Director

Mara Uriol is an immigrant Peruvian woman who has lived in the United States for about 20 years. She has extensive nonprofit and grassroots experience and a strong commitment to feminist and human rights principles. In addition, Mara is actively involved in immigrant movements and works to fight impunity, reflecting her dedication to social justice and the protection of marginalized communities.
As Grants and Project Director, Mara researches potential funding sources, writes and submits grant applications, and manages donor relationships by ensuring timely reporting and compliance with grant requirements. She also designs, develops, coordinates, and implements cultural, artistic, and educational projects that benefit vulnerable communities, aligning with Puka Wasi SF’s mission and fostering meaningful community engagement.
Her work also includes establishing local, national, and international partnerships to encourage cultural exchange, amplify the participation of artists and educators, and promote intercultural collaboration.
Sheyla Aquise
Communications and Public Relations Director

As The Director of Communications and Public Relations, Sheyla Aquise is responsible for developing communication strategies to promote Puka Wasi SF projects and inform community partners of Puka Wasi SF work.
In addition, Sheyla is in charge of establishing relationships with the media and developing campaigns to increase the organization's visibility and cultural exchange projects. She manages the organization's public image and ensures its values and mission are effectively communicated locally, nationally, and internationally.
Lucrecia Bermúdez
Financial Management Director

As Puka Wasi SF's director of financial management, Lucrecia Bermúdez is responsible for the organization's financial administration. She develops annual budgets, manages accounts, and ensures that the financial resources are used efficiently and transparently.
In addition, Lucrecia oversees fundraising efforts, supports the creation of strategies for sustainable project financing, and regularly assesses the organization's financial health, providing the Board of Directors with accurate financial reports and recommendations for improving financial management.
